The production of bandage material at L&R proceeds with high precision and millimeter accuracy. Schmachtl GmbH, specializing in solutions for 100% automated quality control, took on the retrofit of the production plant. The task for Schmachtl was to safely and reliably automate the cutting process with modern image processing and to bring it up to the latest technical standards. In this case, the use of the cameras improves product quality by directly regulating the cutting process, thereby minimizing waste.
