Robust and compact multi-plate clutches

Torsionally stiff multi-plate clutches from R+W are the ideal choice for extreme industrial conditions from +280 to -30 degrees. 

 

Robust and especially maintenance-free couplings are the first choice for long-life applications. R+W offers high-strength torsionally stiff multi-plate couplings especially for industrial applications, for an extreme temperature range of -30 to +280°C. To withstand high, dynamic machining speeds, couplings are designed with weight-optimizing CFRP or aluminum outer tubes. Also high torques up to 100,000 Nm can be supplied on request. The proven models, the multi-plate clutch with keyway connection and the multi-plate clutch with conical clamping hub, are available in single and double cardanic designs. The double cardanic versions have a kind of "connecting plate" and the models with intermediate piece (LP2 and LP3) are thus variable length versions. The sizes of each series have been fine-tuned to be even more application-oriented. 

An integrated cooling lubricant feedthrough can be obtained for torsionally stiff models in addition to standard designs. By means of an integrated inner tube as well as adaptation interfaces on both sides, the cooling lubricant is fed directly into the tool over long distances.

Symmetrical cone clamping hubs as well as special balancing also guarantee very smooth running and good balancing quality. For applications on drives where torsionally stiff torque transmission is required because they run frequently changing loads and speeds in conjunction with frequency-controlled motors, a brake disc provides the necessary extra safety.
