With the FBPS 600i, the Sensor People from Leuze are setting new standards in safe position detection. The world's first safety barcode positioning system requires only a single sensor to deliver precise position data up to Performance Level e (PL e) or SIL 3. It is now also available with a PROFIsafe interface, making it even easier to integrate into modern safety concepts.

Directly into the safety PLC – it couldn't be easier.
Thanks to the new PROFIsafe variant, the FBPS 600i can be directly connected to a safety PLC. This significantly reduces the integration effort and enables particularly compact plant layouts. At the same time, a safe speed output is available – ideal for applications with high dynamic requirements, such as in storage and retrieval machines, cranes, or electric monorail systems.
High-precision positioning even at speed
With a fault reaction time of only 10 milliseconds, the FBPS 600i ensures maximum safety even during very fast movements. Multiple barcodes are captured simultaneously per scan and read at different locations by a diagonally directed laser beam. This keeps position determination reliable even if individual codes are dirty or damaged.
Robust and flexible for everyday industrial use
The system is designed for durability and smooth operation. The barcode tape is UV-resistant, extremely durable, and available in lengths up to 200 meters. It can be configured flexibly and is easy to handle even in demanding environments.
Installation in seconds
For users, quick commissioning is also important: With just one screw, the FBPS 600i is securely fastened — saving time during installation and making replacement easier in case of service. The working range of 50 to 170 millimeters also offers flexible application options, whether in curved tracks, switches, or classic storage and retrieval machines.
