SCHMACHTL EStore for Charging Parks - More power with lower grid connection capacity.
In close collaboration with our partner ALVERI, we have implemented a groundbreaking project at SCHMACHTL to realize a charging park. The SCHMACHTL EStore - our powerful all-in-one storage system - complemented the concept perfectly and supported the implementation of the charging infrastructure even under limited grid conditions.
Challenge: Limited Grid Connection Power
The central technical bottleneck was a severely restricted power supply by the energy utility company (EVU). For ALVERI, it was clear: under these conditions, establishing a traditional charging infrastructure would not have met the demands for user-friendliness and charging power. Therefore, ALVERI turned to us - with the aim of jointly developing a smart solution that offers maximum benefits even under challenging conditions.
Our Solution: Intelligent Storage Technology as Key
Our response to the challenge was a sophisticated energy system centered around the SCHMACHTL EStore. This solution combines high-performance batteries and inverter technology in a compact system. Despite the only 22 kW grid connection power, our system enables a DC charging power of up to 100 kW - a significant increase in daily vehicle charges.
The deployed storage system offers a capacity of 215 kWh per unit and can be modularly expanded to up to 1 MWh. This keeps the infrastructure flexible and future-proof.
Quality, Tested and Certified
An essential element of our quality promise is the close collaboration with our suppliers of battery storage systems. The existing TOR A and B certificate was intensively tested for grid stability by the responsible testing laboratory, the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT). The result: a robust, reliable, and application-optimized product that meets the highest requirements and is now listed with Austria's energy.
Security in Focus
In addition to pure energy and charging technology, cybersecurity was also a central theme. Therefore, within the project, we integrated our specially developed SCHMACHTL Security Interface. This protects the entire system from unauthorized access and ensures secure operation of the charging infrastructure according to the standard for industrial communication networks (IEC62443).
Conclusion: Innovation through Partnership
This project impressively demonstrates how technological competence and collaborative partnership lead to sustainable and future-oriented solutions. Together with ALVERI, we were able to not only solve a specific infrastructure problem but also realize a scalable and intelligent charging park that sets new standards.
At SCHMACHTL, we are proud to have contributed our expertise to this project and look forward to many more innovative projects with future-oriented partners.
